Tomato and Chilli Fermentation Masterclass
Fermenting summer vegetables can seem daunting, but is well worth the effort, preserving the taste of summer to be enjoyed later and enhancing flavours to lift any meal.
During this workshop you will get to know different ways to ferment tomatoes including salsa, tomato paste and green tomato pickles as well as different ways to create a perfect chili condiment using fermentation. This workshop is perfect for growers and hobby gardeners but can also be enjoyed by those who harvest from thier local markets.
This is a practical online workshop, you will receive a list of ingredients and equipment (nothing you won’t have at home) ahead of time. I will cover some of the basics of fermentation but if you are totally new to fermentation I recommend that you attend one of my foundational workshops first.
NOTE: this workshop starts at 16:00 CET so 5pm for Portugal/UK, 5pm in Sweden, Netherlands, Spain etc and 6pm for Finland. The workshop will be held in English.

For over 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my passion for fermentation with students in schools, colleges, and private groups. My journey has been deeply rooted in a love for small-scale organic agriculture, where I dedicated years to nurturing a vegetable garden and operating a fermentation CSA in beautiful Sweden.
For the last three years, I took on the exciting role of leading a groundbreaking EU-funded project. This endeavor is close to my heart as it aims to not only promote but actively foster an increase in the production and consumption of fermented vegetables on a national level. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m grateful for having had the opportunity to contribute to the growth and positive impact of the fermented food community.
